Prof. Justyna Kurek-Sobieraj joins Łaszczuk & Partners

Professor Justyna Kurek-Sobieraj is an advocate specialising in competition and consumer protection, new technologies law, data protection law, personal rights protection and intellectual property law. Her expertise covers issues related to the development of artificial intelligence, in particular at the interface between AI and GDPR. Her interests also include legal protection of information.

She has many years of experience in providing legal assistance to Polish and foreign entrepreneurs (in particular in the field of distribution of cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medicinal products and medical devices), as well as experience in working for regulators – the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE).

Justyna has extensive experience in data protection matters, including GDPR implementation and audits. She has successfully represented clients on numerous occasions, including public figures, in cases involving violations of personal rights and damage of reputation.

She combines business assistance with academic activities. She serves as Head of the Chair of Systemic Security at the Faculty of National Security at the War Studies University. She teaches classes in personal data protection, classified information protection, organisation of the judiciary and information resources of the State.

Justyna is the author and executive editor of numerous publications on new technologies law, personal data protection and Internet security.
