Krzysztof Riedl leads the civil and administrative procedure practice group and AI desk. He specializes in civil law, alternative dispute resolution methods, law of new technologies, and constitutional law.

Krzysztof advises and represents Polish and international clients in litigation, arbitration, administrative and administrative court proceedings. His experience includes advising on disputes, i.a., from the field of contract law, aviation law, construction disputes and M&A transaction settlements.

He has acted as counsel, arbitrator, and earlier as secretary of arbitral tribunals in arbitration proceedings conducted, i.a., under the rules of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Court of Arbitration at the Confederation of Lewiatan, the Vienna International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and under the UNCITRAL Rules.

He is a member of the Arbitration Committee of the Arbitration Court at the Confederation Lewiatan.

Krzysztof has extensive experience in the field of personal data protection, including GDPR implementation and GDPR compliance audits. His areas of interest include AI development and its use in business and law.

He combines corporate legal advice with academic work – as an assistant professor, he teaches civil law at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He is the author of numerous publications on civil and constitutional law. He is involved in educational and social projects relating to law; he cooperates with the INPRIS Institute for Law and Society, where he serves as a board member.

He is the Chairperson of the Artificial Intelligence Commission operating under ICC Poland.

The Legal 500 EMEA 2024 ranking recommends him in the Dispute Resolution category.

In 2017, he was the youngest winner of the 6th edition of the Rising Stars Lawyers – Leaders of Tomorrow Competition.

Krzysztof graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (summa cum laude), and then, at the same Faculty, he defended with distinction a PhD dissertation from the field of the civil law. He has also obtained a Magister Juris degree at the University of Oxford (Brasenose College, 2023), where his main area of interest was AI development and its use in business and law. Moreover, he studied at the University of Munich (LMU) under the Erasmus+ programme. Scholarship recipient of the Max-Planck Institute in Hamburg, the National Science Centre in Poland and the Oxford Law Faculty.

Krzysztof has been with the firm since 2015.
