Michał Chodkowski is a partner heading the labour law practice at Łaszczuk & Partners.
He specializes in labour and social insurance law.
For almost 20 years, he has been advising Polish and international companies on individual and collective labour law, in particular on employment optimization, conducting group layoffs, and transfers of workplaces. He advises on all aspects of HR management, the selection of forms of employment, including the employment of board members.
Michał assists clients in developing HR strategies and employee management schemes, including in matrix structures. He supports employers in implementing internal policies, procedures and regulations, both those required by law and those introduced at the initiative of employers. He represents employers in disputes with employees before labour courts.
He is the President of the Polish HR Association (PSHR), a member of the Board of HR Directors of the Lewiatan Confederation and the National Code Administrator of the Polish Direct Selling Association (PSSB).
Michał is a frequent speaker at conferences dedicated to legal issues related to employment, including those concerning CSR and ESG. He is a lecturer in the postgraduate Compensation & Benefits program and Human Capital Management program at Łazarski University, and in the Executive MBA Direct Selling/MLM program at the Pedagogium University of Social Sciences.
In 2024 the Polish Ranking of Law Firms of Rzeczpospolita business daily recommends him in the field of labour law.
Michał joined Łaszczuk & Partners in 2005 and has been a partner since 2013.
